Do you have any dress cuttings that are no longer of use to your dress designer? Do you have a vision to work towards? What is your budget? Tight on that side of things? You don’t have to spend a fortune. Pleasure can be found in using the simplest things such as left over trimmings and cuttings from your dress! Yes I mean that. I can use some left over cuttings from your dress to make something super tiny just enough to compliment your dress.
This is an example of a previous client- a bride to be had this amazing bridal dress made especially for her. She had some left over beaded cuttings from her dress which she could put to good use so she asked me if I could make some simple hair pins for her hair to compliment the dress and I said yes, yes of course!! The rest is history. Take a look below. The designed beaded flowers and leaves, I did long versions and short versions and we opted for the shorter and compact version.
Dress trimmings from the bride sent to Beady Bride via the post.
I had to undo one bead at a time and reassemble onto jewellery wire to create a design that would pick up her dress sleeves.
